Sundial is a calendar that doesn't shout. A product for organising days, energy and attention without turning the week into a dashboard.
The problem
Calendars are designed to hold everything. The result is that they leave room for nothing: too many views, too many colours, too many notifications. I wanted an object that helped me understand how I am, not just what I have to do.
The approach
I started from the smallest gesture: opening the day. One view, one hierarchy, one primary action. The rest came later, when calm was already a technical requirement rather than an adjective in the brief.
The system
Colour tokens derived from OKLCH, a type scale built on Geist, and a calendar component that adapts to screen density. Every state has a transition, every transition has a reason.
What remains
A product I use every day that still feels smaller than it is. The best part: nobody ever asked for one more feature. They asked for less.
“Fluidity is not an effect. It is the sum of a thousand invisible decisions.”
